Who are we looking for?
SGL is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal team and for the purpose of this SGL has retained PBO Juridisk Rekruttering to conduct this search for the right candidate on behalf of SGL.
The work location can be either in our Headquarter in Kastrup or in Viby J, depending on the candidate. We offer flexible working hours.
We are looking for an experienced corporate lawyer (cand.jur.)to provide high quality advice to the business. A lawyer with in depth knowledge about e.g., transportation and/ or maritime issues, international corporate law, M&A etc. including review, drafting and negotiating a large variety of international commercial contracts in a global company.
The role will be responsible for managing all aspects of legal risk, identifying and solving strategic and operational legal issues and providing understandable, accurate and timely advice to the business on a very wide-ranging and changing set of complex issues, many of which are novel.
In the position as Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing first-class legal support to SGL.
The team you’ll be joining is currently consisting of 3 fulltime and 2 part time legal professionals providing legal support to the global organization on a broad range of legal matters.
You will report to the Global General Counsel.
Summary – your task will include e.g.
- Provide high quality advice on e.g.
- Transportation and/or maritime issues
- International Corporate law
- M&A
- Real Estate and Leases
- Intellectual property rights
- Insurance and claims
- Compliance
- Marketing
- Disputes
- Support the Global General Counsel, and other functions as required
- Contact to external advisors
- Other ad hoc legal assignments
What we expect you to bring
With this great opportunity at hand, we’re looking for the right person to join us. You aren’t perfect and neither are we. But to guide you as to whether you will thrive with us, here are some specific requirements we are looking for:
- At least 3 years’ experience from a law firm and/or an international company as a legal counsel with proven legal skills and a strong commercial and international approach
- English speaking and writing
- Knowledge about transport and/or maritime law
- Excellent communications skills
Some travel activities will be expected of this role.
